In 24 hours, $2.66B in longs were liquidated, and the Fear & Greed Index dropped to 9 — the lowest since June 2022 (Terra crash era).
Analysts’ read: forced selling (funds/exchange/hidden leverage), a local liquidity squeeze among large players, and possible selling by Chinese entities.

- BTC on balance sheet: 713,502 BTC (≈ $54.26B).
- BTC performance in 2025: 22.8%; increase: +101,873 BTC.
- Capital raised in 2025: $25.3B.
- USD reserve: $2.25B (for dividends).
- Operating loss: $17.4B; quarterly net loss: $12.4–12.6B.
Michael Saylor announced a global Bitcoin Security Program to defend the network against threats from the quantum-computing era.
He stressed that quantum computing won’t break Bitcoin — it will harden it. The program focuses on migrating to quantum-resistant encryption.
Supply Shock 2.0: active coins move to secure addresses while “lost” coins (no active keys to migrate) remain frozen — potentially reducing circulating supply even further.

- Fidelity launched its own stablecoin, FIDD. The U.S. Treasury notes the potential of stablecoins for financing and settlement.
- Coinbase listed $HYPE (reminder: listing ≠ recommendation).
- Tether invested $150M in Goldcom (physical & tokenized gold) and $100M in licensed crypto bank Anchorage Digital — strengthening the institutional backbone.
